Skincare Faves

December 09, 2017

Hey guys, for my second post I thought I would write about my favorite skincare products especially since it's starting to get colder outside for winter. Skincare is really important during the winter as it is during any other season, and during this season a lot (if not all ) of us experience dry skin. So in this post I will show you some of my fave products that could hopefully help with moisture and dry skin.

Alba Botanica Face & body scrub

I've used several different cleansing scrubs and I have liked them all. However what I love about this scrub is that the exfoliating beads are very gentle on the skin which prevents the skin from becoming irritated and possibly red. I also love the minty/earthy scent that it has. This brand is new to me so I have yet to try anything else from Alba Botanica but this cleansing scrub is pretty good so far. The only thing I will say is that it is SUPER runny, which means you have to be careful not to let too much pour out or a good amount of the product will be used up. But overall, this cleansing scrub is great and leaves the skin clean & soft.

Pearl Essence Micellar Water

I love Micellar waters! lately I've been using this one by pearl essence which is amazing ! it is infused with coconut water and leaves the skin hydrated instead of dry. Also there isn't any overbearing scent that comes with this product either, which is fantastic. This is also a great product for those of you out there, who are like myself & are too lazy at times to wash your face before bed (or even in general especially if you're running late ).

Tony Moly Blackhead Steam Balm

I've been dying to try Korean skincare products FOREVER!! I finally purchased a product. I know it's small but I thought starting out small would be best instead of diving in head first and end up spending hundreds on products that may end up being a waste later on. This is the Tony Moly blackhead steam balm. I love this product to death ! It has helped ya girl's pores out so much!! honestly, I thank GOD for this blackhead zapper because I don't know where i'd be without it! in order to see results it needs to be used constantly so you may or may not see results the first time I think it depends on the person but for me I saw results after the first use and it just got better with each time. (p.s. if anyone is wondering, no you wont have steam coming off of your face like bacon in a skillet lol it's just marketing + speaking of marketing I swear Koreans have the best /cutest packaging that will make you wanna spend the money even if its just to have & look at  )

Clinique Step 3 Toner & Body Shop Vitamin E hydrating Toner

These two toners are a couple of my faves. The Clinique step 3 clarifying lotion I use mainly for clarifying after I was my face ( depending on the routine that day / week because I dont like to over do things that could potentially cause my skin to dry out ). I use it to make sure that there is no more dirt left in my pores before moisturizing. I use the Body shop Vitamin E Hydrating toner to add a boost of moisture and hydration to my skin before putting on actual moisturizer ( but at times I dont need to because honestly this toner is SUPER hydrating ) .

Sekkisei kose herbal gel & Clinique Thirst relief Moisturizer
Moisturizer is a MUST when it comes to skin care ( and definitely us peeps with dry skin ) I love these two moisturizers with a passion. They are both so amazing. I have never tried Japanese skincare before but I totally plan to try more because this herbal gel moisturizer by Sekkisei is the bomb.com! I use it as a night mask because it keeps the skin nice and hydrated through the night and in the morning you wake up with nice dewy skin. The Clinique thirst relief moisturizer also leaves the skin nice and dewy. I use this one in the day. Both of these moisturizers go a long way, you dont need to apply much!
Freeeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask

Boy do I love me some good masks whether it be clay, mud, or an exfoliating mask! This Charcoal & black sugar polishing mask by Freeman is AMAZING!!! I raved about it several times on Instagram in the past and some of my followers went out & purchased it and loved it as well! Its my fave mask to use when my skin is dry & rough. It helps clear the dead skin off leaving your skin smooth and refreshed.

Tony Moly Lip scrub & Lip balm
Even though I have been talking mainly about the face in this post I believe the lips are also an important part of skincare as well because lips get dry too! I use these two as a Duo even though they are separate items. The Kiss Kiss lip scrub is amazing for getting dry skin off the lips leaving them soft and rejuvenated. The Bbo Bbo lip balm honey is super soft and creamy leaving your lips feeling so luscious. I love both of these together they are the best duo.  ( Name a more Iconic Duo I'll wait .... lol jk )
